2018-2020 PhD student in Microbial Ecology. Ecole Centrale de Lyon (ECL), Promega Corporation.
2016 Masters in Molecular Biology Applied to Biotechnological Enterprises (BioEnterprise). Granada University (Spain)
2015 Degree in Basic and Experimental Biomedicine. University of Seville (Spain)

My research interest are focused on deciphering the influence that diverse factors exert in the transfer of Antibiotic Resistance Genes emerged in the environment to human bacteria. In order to gain insight into this topic, I will use models to evaluate DNA transfer to human bacteria in soil samples and carry out next-generation sequencing analysis. This will provide knowledge about the factors that affect the transfer of environmental ARG to human bacteria, from where they can reach human pathogens causing the development of new clinical antibiotic resistance. Therefore, my research will provide with useful information for resistance development risk assessment, and contribute to a global effort aimed to mitigate the spreading of antibiotic resistance in the clinic.
